1. In the app
- Open Hey Proofy and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Your data → Delete my account.
- Type DELETE to confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.
2. Without the app
Email support@heyproofy.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm by email and delete your account within 7 days.
3. What is deleted
Your account details (name, email), all receipts, bills, warranties, subscriptions, photos, uploaded files, forwarded emails, and household data you created. If you are the only admin of a household, the household is deleted too; other members keep their own accounts.
If you signed in with Google, deleting your Hey Proofy account also removes the link to your Google account. You can also remove Hey Proofy's access in your Google Account settings.
4. What we keep, and for how long
- Payment and invoice records for Plus subscriptions: kept for 7 years, as required by New Zealand tax law.
- Encrypted backups: your data is removed from backups within 30 days.
Nothing else is kept.
